Oh yeah... And Jaenna and Tamlyn are sweethearts!

*beams*

Everyone beware the Green with the ter'angreal daggers! *mwahahahahaha*

*chuckle* You like that, huh?

I'm glad... Though, I think Tam's going to start trying to beat up that Gaidin before too long. (Not that she'll be all that successful, mind.)

Yeah, I like that. *grins*

I'm still not entirely clear of the timing on this. I throw one, it comes back, I put it back into the ter'angreal, and then I can throw the next? Or I can throw one after the other until I've thrown all 6, and then I have to catch them all and put them back, so I can throw again? Hrm ... Nifty.

Oohh, toy! Good toy. Makes for happy Green, and that is always a nice thing.

My understanding from the scene we played before the one where Elyse was given them was that each dagger's boomerang quality could only be used once before it had to be refreshed by being put back on the necklace. But you could, for instance, use it as a regular blade before you refresh it if you have to. Basically, though, I suggest Elyse learn to whip up those weave without having to think about them. (Quickdraw, anyone?)

Oh, and the daggers are basically programmed to come back to the bracelet. So, if the bracelet falls off, the daggers will go wherever it is and not to your hand.

Oh, yeah - again - they're basically cuendillar, as far as I know, though I could be wrong. When Cersi threw one into a target 50' away, it sunk in effortlessly down to the hilt, waited a heartbeat, and then returned to the hand on which Jaenna was wearing the bracelet.

That's how I remember it off the top of my head, anyway.

But, yes. Basically, you could throw all 6 one after another before you have to refresh them.

*smirks*

I have this image in my head of some Sedai 2000 years in the future trying to figure out the purpose of the pretty necklace/bracelet set.

Wouldn't it just?

If Elayne is trying to figure one out in the next RJ book I read, that's just what I'm going to be chortling over...

Powerforged, anyway. *grins and bounces*

Lucky Elyse. ;)

She will have to practice with those weaves, and with throwing daggers even more now. Yay! More reason to terrorize the Practice Yard. ;)

*chuckle* I thought you'd like that.

So, I have a question:

I've been thinking about this effort I started with Donovan last night to force Tamlyn to grow a backbone... And, I'm thinking an argument between them would catch her attention - at least enough to make her think. Now, frankly, the argument will pretty much have to have taken place in a public area, since men simply aren't allowed in Accepted Residences. Even in the Accepted Residence hallway, if Tam argues with Donovan, it will be noticed. There's bound to be at least one Sedai or another pass by... and it's almost certain they'd feel complelled to see her reprimanded, perhaps even punished, for being disrespectful to a Gaidin. Donovan, on the other hand, wouldn't be seeing it as disrespectful - since he'd be purposely trying to get her angry enough to react. He'd actually want her to argue with him. Therefore, I want to know: If he intervenes with the Sedai (and then maybe drops a note to Elyse afterwards explaining the situation) would it be enough to keep her out of real trouble? Or would she be toast, anyway?

Truthfully?

Depends entirely on the Sedai. However, from Elyse's perspective - she wouldn't get Tam in real trouble over that, if Donovan intervened. Specially not after what she already noticed, ICly. If it were Jaenna, Reshna ... you know, Tam might not end up in trouble either. Aiyanna ... probably Tam's in trouble, just cause. That white Muirghen - Tam's toast. *grins*

Now, what this means from my perspective is this... If the Sedai who witnesses the argument gives Tam a punishment, Elyse will not likely change it, unless it's really out of proportion. Fact is - Tam would be breaking a rule. But, if the Sedai asks Elyse to punish Tam, then she will get punished, but if Donovan puts in his 2 cents, Elyse will listen to him. So, she wouldn't be toast. Elyse might make a caustic comment to Donovan about picking his locations better, though. ;)

*snickers* You know, don't you, that Tam's luck dictates it'd almost have to be the White, hmm? And, you know, if Tam ends up going into the White herself after all this... that's one helluva rivalry I'd have set up... (Particularly if Tam does ever take a Sitter's position.)

It's not an argument I'd play on-camera, in any case. And it would have happened on the way back to her room after giving Elyse the ter'angreal last night. So that means, it'd rather have to be an NPC.

If it's not the White that's the NPC, Tam might be safe. If it is, however, she'd probably take it up with Elyse just to try to rub Elyse's nose in it. One of those "You can't protect her /this/ time!" type of things. (Though Donovan would.) So, I don't know...

*chuckle* But, maybe I'll just let Elyse make a caustic remark to Donovan, regardless. Unless I decide to forego the argument entirely. Which I might... But, somehow, the whole idea is almost too amusing to discard...

*dies laughing*

Good thing Adil is used to this by now. ;)

I leave it up to you ... You can emit Donovan, or the White ... Either way, I just have to have Elyse react appropriately. *beams*

Who's Adil?

*chuckles* Regardless... I'll think about the scene and see how I feel.

Enjoy your class tonight.

*rolls* I'm lucky. Stefan, next to me, knows all about Mu*ing. He's cursed with the same insanity...

Though, I think I've found a solution to my dilemma. No doubt Elyse will still end up hearing about it - from both the White and the Gaidin, but it might save Tamlyn a complete toasting.

*snicker* But the White will become her avowed personal enemy for the rest of her life.
