Okay, so drag myself out of bed this morning, shower, get ready, bug the cats, get lunch, and head out to work.
All perfectly normal, right? Right.
Until all of a sudden there's a pop and then I can hear thud, thud, thud, coming from the driver's side, passenger tire. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I had a flat. Joy.
Didn't hit anyone, didn't hit anything - well, other than what gave me the flat, darn thing. Got off the highway, got to a parking spot, opened the trunk, pulled out the spare, found the jack, decided it would be a good plan to call in and tell folks I was going to be late. While I was on the cell phone, a very nice fellow with his son stopped right next to me and asked if I needed help. Well, I said yes, and they changed the tire for me, as well as gave me directions to the nearest Canadian Tire. Bless their hearts and souls. Very very nice. I appreciate it no end - such kind and wonderful good samaritans. Okay, yes, I was about to call CAA, but you know, it's things like this that remind me that it's good to live in Canada sometimes.
Anyway, there was a Tim's at the Canadian Tire, so I was refreshed with coffee and a fruit explosion muffin. And only an hour and a half late to work.

It comes complete with books of reference and such if you wanna get more in depth. The cultures vary, and would really depend on the year that you would want to reference. Egypt is the earliest 'documented' reference, dating back some 4000 years ago. Since then, it has gone from Rome to France, and Ireland even has some documentation I found elsewhere where the King had been known to juggle. If you want more specifics, let me know and I'll be glad to help :)
