Okay, so drag myself out of bed this morning, shower, get ready, bug the cats, get lunch, and head out to work.

All perfectly normal, right? Right.

Until all of a sudden there's a pop and then I can hear thud, thud, thud, coming from the driver's side, passenger tire. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I had a flat. Joy.

Didn't hit anyone, didn't hit anything - well, other than what gave me the flat, darn thing. Got off the highway, got to a parking spot, opened the trunk, pulled out the spare, found the jack, decided it would be a good plan to call in and tell folks I was going to be late. While I was on the cell phone, a very nice fellow with his son stopped right next to me and asked if I needed help. Well, I said yes, and they changed the tire for me, as well as gave me directions to the nearest Canadian Tire. Bless their hearts and souls. Very very nice. I appreciate it no end - such kind and wonderful good samaritans. Okay, yes, I was about to call CAA, but you know, it's things like this that remind me that it's good to live in Canada sometimes.

Anyway, there was a Tim's at the Canadian Tire, so I was refreshed with coffee and a fruit explosion muffin. And only an hour and a half late to work.

In your copious amounts of spare time?

Im due to make another lightsaber replica and Ive said that I would make some period style chairs and a table, but time is an issue here too. Just too many things I wanna do in the time that I have.

Oh, that reminds me. Gonna have an arrow making class in my garage next month. MRfl. Where in the world am I gonna find time to research beforehand? Hrm...

Well, a nice overview that I have found is:

http://www2.bc.edu/~lewbel/jugweb/history-1.html

It comes complete with books of reference and such if you wanna get more in depth. The cultures vary, and would really depend on the year that you would want to reference. Egypt is the earliest 'documented' reference, dating back some 4000 years ago. Since then, it has gone from Rome to France, and Ireland even has some documentation I found elsewhere where the King had been known to juggle. If you want more specifics, let me know and I'll be glad to help :)

Oh, and by-the-by.....The Tain (or Tain Bo Cuailnge) is the book that was refered to for Irish documentation. It is more lore from what I can gather though, but juggling was part of the aspect there concerning Cuchulain "Juggling nine apples with never more than one in his hand". You can find the book translated and re-released by author: Thomas Kinsella (translated by Louis de Brocquy)

Just cuz I enjoy Irish literature, I wanted to hunt that info down :)
