Friday

Yay!

It's not a long weekend for me, not really, but it still feels like one. I'll be off work this coming Tuesday, so it will split the week up very oddly.

Yesterday - I had a couple of very interesting conversations with friends. You know, those friends who are far away in a different country who you wish you got to talk to more? Yeah, those conversations. It was nice. Very nice.

In RP - Elyse talked to Eufimia, and go figure - Elyse is now more determined about the arches and such. Oceana had a nice little scene with Sorcha, Connor and Evangeline. Now of course, Cea wants to know how exactly Sorcha ended up being Nathael's daughter. Cause well, he's with Elyse, right? Oh, and Jen had an interesting conversation with Khyran, in which Khyran ended up heading to medlab. At the end of the scene, anyway. Good thing Cat started to convince her earlier. ;) Summer on the other hand got an invitation to go out to Signy and Sallir's farm and see the ponies, chickens, kitties and puppies. And she was there when Signy told Sallir she was pregnant. Whee! Gotta love being 5. Oh, yeah, I named Summer's babysitter Lobelia - and she was good enough to tell Summer that no she can't keep a pony in the back garden or in Daddy's forge. Momma should be pleased.

As for Harry Potter - still no comments from me - folks are reading. :)

It is supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I do think I'll make my way to War Practice. I want to enjoy some outside time, but then I'll come home for dinner, and relax on Sunday home alone. Yeah, that sounds like fun.

In other news, I volunteered to watch Mom's cat Merlin for her and Dad when they go on vacation the end of July. This could be quite entertaining, so long as none of the monster cats kill each other. It's Taliesin and Merlin I'm worried about mostly. Chey, Pach and Merlin all know each other.

Oh, and the severe weather for last night wasn't. All it did was change the pressure system so my head hurt, and it didn't even have the grace to rain. Darn it all - I'll have to water the plants tonight. Hrmph.

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
It did rain around 12:30 AM.

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, and this reminds me... now that I think about what happened in Eufi's arches... they just may have had something to do with how her life turned out.

Nifty.

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
*grins*

Gee, you think?

*patpats*

I think Elyse will use that conversation as more ammo against those arches. :) Whether correctly or incorrectly. *shrugs* Doesn't matter, really - it's just that perception thing, right?

This reminds me too, I need to talk to Atalanta about the next steps in that plot. ;)

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
Have I ever told you what happened in her arches? :) I can't remember if I posted the log back then or not.

And yes, it's definitely a perception thing. Eufimia doesn't really think back to the arches... enough stuff happened to make her want to leave after that. It's just that all of it may not have happened if not for the arches, but hey. :)

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
*chuckles*

Well, I don't think you posted the log of her arches, or if you did, I didn't read it.

In any event, I still want to overhaul the arches, oocly and icly. So you know, I'm all for that.

This reminds me - can you give me some information on blood weaving? @mail it or email it to me, when you get a chance, but it is something that would come in handy.

Thanks!

Blood weaving

Ouch, I'll have to look for it. It's somewhere in my logs from last September, heh. I'll send it to you and Horizon, I suppose. She'd find it useful too, I'm sure.

I've talked to Age, and she said no problem if Reshna and I are creating the file on weaves that must be icly learned. If you have info on any other weaves that folks shouldn't know unless they're icly taught, pass that along too, please?

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
Sure. Which ones do you already have?

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Balefire. Reshna's healing weave. Tower jumping. Travelling. Skimming. Scrying. I'd have to check the file to be sure about others, but I know for sure we have no info on Blood Weaving.

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
Blood weaving isn't so much a single weave as it is a technique. (And Eufimia knows it. *grin*)

I'll think on what other ones should be on your list. Inversion comes to mind, but I can't remember if it's a common weave or not. If it is, it should probably be noted as such somewhere.

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, inversion does need to be on there! Thanks!

It's not a common weave either.

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 08:32 am (UTC)(link)
*grins* Cool.

Also, add all of anti-healing to the list as well. I think right now there's a grand total of two people on the grid who know it and it has to be learned ICly. It's pretty much Dark-only, too.

Re: Blood weaving

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
*nods* Yup. This is the thing that folks need to know is out there, even if they don't know how to do it. They also need to know they can't just claim to know it, without learning.

*grins*

Excellent. Oh, I think I'm going to add the bonding weave in there - nobody who isn't an Aes Sedai should learn it, at least at the tower. I'm not sure about dreadlords/Malkier. But then, this is the tower files. Course, they can be modified where required to fit both the tower and Malkier, if you all want.

Rain, Rain, Rain!

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
Did it? Not so much that I could tell by morning. Though maybe it missed raining in Ajax, it wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Rain, Rain, Rain!

[identity profile] insaint.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
That's possible. All I know is that it was trying to rain as I was falling asleep.

Re: Rain, Rain, Rain!

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
I think the key words there are trying to. I don't think we got more than a few drops, at most.

Though maybe we'll get more tomorrow night, but I'm not holding my breath.

[identity profile] wolfcat.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
It rained in Scarborough.

Re: Rain, Rain, Rain!

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
Aha. So you mean there was real rain? That doesn't explain why all the lawns and grass and plants this morning in Ajax are looking like they haven't been watered in a month though.

Mind you - I got roses!

Re: Rain, Rain, Rain!

[identity profile] wolfcat.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I do, too. I was just noticing that this morning. My white mini's have bloomed.

*beams*

Way cool. I like roses. I think I'll have to pull out the digital camera and take pictures of the dianthus, lilacs, mini rose, other rose, snapdragons, and the bleeding heart, all of which have decided to flower.

I'm impressed.

Very cool... :)

A new gallery for your web site, neh?

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2003-06-27 12:47 pm (UTC)(link)
*grins*

Yup. Things that actually manage to grow in my garden, besides weeds. ;)

*snickers* Impressive, truly.
