work thoughts

This morning took me 2.5 hours to get to work.

this evening. 1 hour. *sigh* Rain, flood, accidents and construction are just not a good combination.

Oh, from where I work to Yorkdale ... about 20 km.
From Yorkdale to Scarborough Town Centre ... about 20 km.
From Scarborough Town Centre to my exit off the 401 ... about 20 km.

Total distance I drove one way today ... 64km.

Course, that did take me 2.5 hours this morning. On a highway with a speed limit of 100km/hr.

On the other hand, I am enjoying this job. It's fast paced, almost frantic, though that's at least partly because I'm new to the company and should have been started on this project 3 months ago. Instead of 3 weeks and 1 day. It will always be fast paced though, so far as I can tell. There are some really friendly people there, and some quite bright ones.

All in all, so far I'm thinking this is a good place to work. Even if I had to get my fingerprints taken.

Which reminds me ... I got the results.
