On Heroes ... can the Male Channelers bond someone? Or just the female?

Inquiring minds want to stir up more trouble of course ... *beams*

Male channelers can bond someone, but the bond is a bit different. Male bonding a female can basically force her to do his bidding through the bond. :) Also that bondee gets the strength, awakeness, not having to eat as much etc advantages that the bondee always gets.

Mm. Well, that would be the equivalent of female bonding male then, at least in the books. (Though if both are channelers, then it could get quite interesting to see what happens if one tries to force the other to do anything ... )

I'm back the 24th of Jan... a little after. And if two channelers both bond each other, they both die. It's overload, so... And no, a female cannot force a male bondee into anything. She can only make her wishes known strongly and he can turn her down. A male forcing a female bondee into something.. she can't resist.

The decision back in the Old Days, when men and women were Bonding each other left and right in Cuebiyar'Shain, is in one of the +misc files. +misc bonds, I think.

Female/female bonds are different from male/female Bonds in that their more emotionally connected, and loosely physically connected, whereas male/male Bonds are academically aware of each other's emotions, but feel physical sensations as one.

I think forcing had to do with whoever had a higher OP and Spirit score, but I'm not on telnet to check the file right now.

Both the Aes Sedai and the Dreadlords know the weaves for bonding. Just a note about how several possible bond convolutions might work. Male-Male. Males are academically aware of one another's emotions. A male might know his bond is feeling angry without being touched by that anger himself. Its just a knowledge. However physical sensations are felt nearly as if the males are one. If one of them gets too drunk to channel, the other is too drunk to channel as well (unlike female-female, in which the other woman might get giddy and silly but will still be able to function.) Males can draw up to 5 extra points of physical strength or stamina from each other without draining one another unduly. Female-Female. Women feel each other's emotions very closely though they do not necessarily share them. Women are affected by each other's physical states as outlined above but are not incapacitated by them. A woman cannot draw strength or stamina off of her bond in the same way that a male-female bonding pair can.

Two Channelers: Who can control the other ought to be a function of the new self-control stat, not OP, and we don't have a file anymore, but I'm also not a wiz anymore so I don't know for sure.
