Hmm. We've had to use format lists and suchlike. Messy.
MUX2 with the WoD bollocks compiled in might have better support for it (since it supports things like that in the hard for for the different 'realms')
I wonder if something like the TM guestlock could be used here ... and then we could add folks with underground okay permissions to the guest list. Then the exits could just be regular exits, but dark, locked to anyone not on the guest list. And couldn't we have something in the @adesc that checks if the alt looking is in the guest list and displays something about the exit if they are, but not if they aren't? Sort of like the sub room on Aquatus, which will incidentally be changed to a ferry on Greyscans.
That's utterly do-able, but far, /far/ easier if every room in the area that uses such code has a parent which we can dump it on.
Personally, I'm very much in favour of /every/ room and exit having a parent to inherit default messages and such from if someone forgets to set something.
Also, having a red, flashing, bold ANSI message telling you that there's no @desc /really/ grabs the attention. ;o)
Note to all of us ... check with our wonderful builders from previously about which parents already exist. this could likely help us with weather code and such too.
