Saturday at the SCA event, it was suggested that I could bring my Taliesin to the event. Put a halter on him, and let him prowl through the grass, thinking he's a big tough leopard cat.

I was amused by this, though slightly concerned about the heat, the dogs and how Taliesin would take to wearing a halter. Since the event is so close to my home, I didn't spend my nights in a tent, choosing instead the comfort of my own home. However, this did allow me to find the halter I'd bought for Taliesin, but never dared put on the brat.

He promptly took it off. Took him about 2 minutes the first time, and maybe 30 seconds the second. Sheesh.

Okay, so I figured out that if I put the leash on the halter, he can't get the halter off. This worked. Maybe for all of 10 minutes, before he figured out how to bite the leash fastener open, and squirmed out of the halter again.

*blinkblink*

Uhm, no way on earth I'm taking this brat to the event like this. Obviously the halter will require some more work, since Taliesin is a freak of nature. *grins* Or perhaps he's just a cat. Sometimes I think those two things are synonymous.

We once tried putting one of the rabbits on a harness + leash ... what a dismal failure that was. ;)

Spent five minutes spinning around in a circle as fast as I could while this rabbit was sprinting as quickly as she could (she was trying to run straight, the leash was restraining her ... physics in action - apparently was quite an amusing sight). Eventually she gave up and started struggling with the harness - had to pick her up quickly and take her inside since she almost managed to get out of it completely. ;P

*grins* Not particularly ... it's the other one (the one that looks a lot like bun-bun) that's smart - we've had to put her in a maximum security cage, and we even had to put a solid piece of plywood, weighted down, as the top after she climbed the chickenwire (paw over paw, I've seen her do it), pulled the previous top down, then used it as a ramp to climb out and into the other rabbit's cage, where she took over.

Encase the kitties feet in tiny little cement blocks. Fashionable, cute, and best of all, incredibly difficult to move in.

You can even write things on them with chalk like "how're the new shoes?" or "Not so fast, are ya now?"

I suggested that to a couple once at an animal convention and they liked it so much they even called over the security officers and told them all about it!
