Encase the kitties feet in tiny little cement blocks. Fashionable, cute, and best of all, incredibly difficult to move in.
You can even write things on them with chalk like "how're the new shoes?" or "Not so fast, are ya now?"
I suggested that to a couple once at an animal convention and they liked it so much they even called over the security officers and told them all about it!
