So, let's see... I managed to go yesterday evening with no BSOD. Yay. Course, that was by turning off lots of apps and doing the bare minimum. No LOTRO at all.

I looked up memtest, as provided by [profile] insaint... only it needs a flippy disk and I don't have any in the house. And I bugged [profile] akestevenabout it... she said to try reseating the memory sticks (and write down the types/speeds/etc to see if there could be any conflicts there). Alright then. I can try that tonight I think. See if that helps any.

*rolls eyes*

Oh, and [personal profile] anahita? Just cause we work in computers doesn't mean they never break for us! It just means that we sometimes can fix it when that happens. ;)

Depending on how you work with computers, they might actually be breaking more often as a result of excessive tinkering. :)

Also, if you have USB key, you can try dropping the program on it and seeing if your BIOS supports emulating a USB drive as A:.
