 nVidia GeForce 6200 ... just to be precise.

And the updated drivers did not resolve the issue. I'm wondering if maybe there's a bad memory stick or something... 

Very aggravating. Well, I'm not sure I have the opportunity to do anything about it until Friday. But then I can take it back to the store and get them to check the memory sticks. How does one test for bad memory chips anyway?

Considering the number of fans that Pam put in there when building the computer, I doubt it's overheating. Though at this point anything is possible.

It's a thought to follow up on as well.

So far as conscripting Pam goes, eh, if it works out that way, sure.
