How's that for a name for the kitten?

He weighs 1lb 1oz right now, and he was born October 19, 2001, so he's 12 weeks old. And counting. I'll see if I can get some pics posted this weekend.

Took him to the vet today. Everyone had to come see him, and they all agreed he's absolutely gorgeous, and louder than a cougar in heat. Yay. I'm supposed to call the breeder and check if that noise is healthy or not. And he has to go back to the vet on January 26 - isn't he lucky.

Other than that, I'm back at work, trying to ignore the darn headache that's driving me nuts. And all the snow is melting, so much for 5 to 10 cm of accumulation. At least there's precipitation, even if it's not going to stay on the ground. I suppose there could be worse things.

I still have the tail end of my cold, but it will go away eventually. It's not really that I feel sick, just that every so often I sneeze or cough. Lasts for quite a while this one. And doesn't seem to want to go away. It's annoying.

Working on RS timeline stuff, well, mentally, cause work stuff is boring. So I have to keep my brain going somehow. Also, I'm wondering if Feb 3 is a good day for another Briarholt plot. I expect it might be - it's a Sunday, so the European contingent can play too. Perhaps a Howl/Festival? That might be a thought. Anyone got any ideas?

Yes, indeed. A bit of a freeze, and the roads will be covered in perfect ice...

Taliesin (Tal-YESS-in)

Taliesin (radiant-brow).Welsh. A semi-mythical figure whose life has become deeply intertwined with the Divinities of the Celts. He apparently lived in the 6th century CE, and was regarded as the premier bard, or poet of his or any other time. A book of his work exists, set down in the 13th century; several of the works within it are regarded as genuine. He figures in many tales, but chief among them is the story that he began as the boy Gwion, was asked by the Cauldron-Crone Ceridwen to watch the vessel in which she brewed a Knowledge potion, inadvertently tasted it himself, was pursued by her in a chase involving many shapeshifts, and was at length swallowed by Her, to be reborn nine months later as the Divine bard Taliesin.

Bard, huh?
Well, the catling sure is loud, if not necessarily poetic. ;)

It's a good name.

There is also a series of books written by Stephen R Lawhead where Taliesin is depicted as the same mythical bard, but who becomes the father of Myrddin....or Merlin from the Artherian Legends.

Just a bit of useless info that I happen to know ;)
And this should have been written a lot sooner, must have missed this entry.

*tacklesmooches* Im gonna have to make good on my promise to make things up to you ;)
