Seems I came within about 5 minutes of my car shutting itself down on the 401 due to battery running out of oomph. The alternator gave up the ghost, while I was driving. In rush hour traffic. One trip to the garage and a couple hundred dollars later ... sheesh. I hope that's the last of those repair bills for the car. I could use some time to try to catch up on my bills.

Saw the hybrid Vue while at the dealership. It looks good - lots of storage space, but no spare tire. That's where the extra battery is, which makes sense, but what do you do if you get a flat?

Research is definitely required on this one.

In other news, down to 8 classes to go, including Saturday's makeup class for the one cancelled after the 4 hour drive last week.

This is really getting down to the wire.  It's nerve wracking, frazzling and exciting all at the same time. I'm not exactly sure what to think some days. But I am still feeling wayyyy tooo tired. Hopefully that will go away soon. I need more energy.

Oh, and I am beginning to get sick of cross stitching white on ecru. But this too shall pass.

Oooh. Thank you! *snugs*

Though the maintenance guy told me the battery for the hybrid Vue is where the spare tire would usually be.

Interesting. Now I am a bit more confused, as well as more informed. It's a good thing I have time to figure out all this car stuff before I have to buy a new one!

Aye, the trunk has no space for the tire :) So they relocated it. I have also heard tell that there maybe an optional 19 inch rim and tire for the vehicle but can find no solid evidence of this online.

I gotta admit, you peaked my curiousity and I called the local Saturn dealer to find out the info about the Vue's spare. I just didnt tell him I work for Lexus. lol.

The Service Advisor I spoke with wasnt 100% sure either so he put me on hold and went to look at one. So I know for sure its under the vehicle :)

Excellent! That's good to know. ;)

I can see I'll be bugging you for more information in a few months. If you don't mind, that is.

Oh, and by the by, the spare tire is a dognut tire. Temporary only, and rated most likely for 100 miles of use.

Yes, that makes sense mostly. That's the sort of spare tire I have on my SL1.

You know, I love this icon for you. I can totally see you making that mischevious/confidant look. Every time I watch the movie, you come to mind :)
