Safe and Sound
Okay, so Friday, at home after work. Officially on vacation, and what happens? I can't find my passport. Oops?
I knew right where it was supposed to be too. Right on the bookshelf by my bed. But it wasn't there. Clear off the bookshelf. Look. Nope. try the other bookshelf. No passport. Get character into trouble on Heroes, in between tearing the house apart searching.
Midnight comes. Ariel goes to bed. She's not staying up. I keep searching.
1am. Still playing. Getting someone ele's character into trouble on RS. Well, and mine too, but she's not entirely sane, so that doesn't really matter. Still no passport.
2am. Still searching.
3am. Tear the house apart searching.
4am. No passport yet.
4:45am. Aha!! Great. Behind the flipping bookcase, where not even a lintball could get. Just lovely.
Only problem? I have to get up at 6am anyway. Why bother sleeping?
Shower. get stuff together. Chase Cheyenne around the house more often than I had to tear it apart to get the passport found. For some reason, she didn't want to be in the carrying case. I can't understand. Just cause the last time I put her there she went to the vet to get her shots... I mean really.
And then off to the airport. Which was really anticlimactic, all things considered. Except for the idiot who thought he could arrive at the airport 20 minutes before his flight, park his car, and still get on the international flight ... Yeah, right.
So, here we are safe and sound, in Louisiana. Nobody panic.
Though likely I won't be updating this until next Sunday.
