Painting update

Tape is off ceiling.
wall plates are back on the wall. Trim has been done one coat, but it needs another. Need to review the doors in the morning to see if they need another coat as well. And I definitely need to buy another quart of the wall paint for touchups. When the tape came off the telephone jack wall plate, it took a huge chunk of the paint with it. *mutters about the stupid thing*

Ah well, c'est la vie.

I thought the whole point of using painting tape was: 1. so that you don't get paint on what you don't want; 2. if painting stripes, keeping the stripes separate; and 3. not taking the paint off of what you just painted.

But sometimes the paint sticks to the tape, and you need to use an exacto knife to get the tape off. When you have volunteer helpers who don't realize that, they pull the tape and take huge chunks of paint with it. Unfortunately. Oops.

ahhh. I see. well I guess that's why the PTB's invented the phrase "touch ups"
