And looking to be busy tomorrow too. *sigh*

Gotta take my car to the garage tomorrow. It's making an odd sound I don't like. So, get them to check it out. Besides, it needs to be driveclean tested sometime in the next 30 days ....

In other news, TMN cut off the last 4 minutes of SG:A... that's actually okay by me, since it means I didn't get the full effect of the cliffhanger. And I think I can afford to wait until January for that moment. ;)

mmm, i took my car to the garage today too (ok, close enough for it to a D-thing); the floor boards are rusted right through--looks like we need to shop for a newer car. eep.

hoping yours is much cheaper to fix.

oooo, yikes!!

are you going to fix?? or look at leasing/buying a new car??

we found a new used car--VW golf grand or 4 actually; I don't want to think about it either because it eats into many things.

Fixed it. Need to be able to drive now, don't have time to search for new cars. If it lasts another 120K, I'll be good.

The plan is for this car to last until at least April 2007... and then I want to buy a hybrid.

nice.

i want a "smart car" actually but a new(er) VW is ok--good on fuel, cheap on parts and easy to fix.

My plans are for new car to last to 2009 --maybe 2010-- and then hopefully debt will be more manageable and I can actually sign a lease or something. Also hoping to get/having more permanent status so that the bank will know that I have regular income.

Cars--expensive but necessary things

Good on fuel and cheap on parts is nice. I couldn't fix it if I had to, so you know that part is kind of iffy for me. Though I can see how it would work if only I knew how to fix a car. :)

well the fixing part is iffy for me too--i can do a lot in terms of fixing but there are times when i consult the various books, people and other people that are out there.

See, me - I just take the car in and tell the nice friendly types there. It's broken, fix it.

*grins* Gotta make sure those folks are trustworthy, hmm?

no -- my mechanic has been my mechanic since I started at UWO. He even came to my wedding--i just like knowing what I'm talking about when I go in.
