On the good side?

Gotta figure out how to move that desk box and pieces quickly out of the way so they can bring the loveseat in.

The basement - floor took the worst of it and it's just cement. No books were injured in the flooding of this basement. Which is good.

So far today - done dishes, except 2 which are soaking.
Washed 2 pillows, just cause. They're in the dryer.
Put up 4 shelves.
Put stuff on said 4 shelves.
Moved stuff out of the water (mostly in PLASTIC containers, yay!)
Found a whole lot of empty boxes that are now ruined. *cusses out her exroomies for that one, since they're not my boxes!*
Found some stuff that really needs to go to Good Will and am in process of relocating it.
load of laundry in the washer.
kitty litter cleaned
Went shopping - bought B5 Season 2 and the movie collection. Just missing Season 1 now. And I think someone is gifting me with that. That's way cool!
Listened to my fiance and also picked up Season 2 of SG1.
Picked up fruit (listening to my Mom) and got gas for the vroom vroom. 98.9c per litre. *sigh*
Ate lunch.

So - the good news - the basement isn't a disaster.

The bad news has to do with the still to go list ...
- move that desk box so the loveseat can come in. Done
- go to the bank. Done
- mow the back lawn
- finish clearing computer room stuff out of the guest room and tidy that up
- finish resetting the computer room up
- I'm not even going to start on what needs doing in my room...
- mop up some of the water in the basement
- hope like hell that today's rain doesn't reflood.........

And the loveseat is now here. It's going to collect cat fur. Darn. But it's gorgeous.

Might I suggest a cover for the loveseat? Get a couple so you can switch them once in a while for de-catifying purposes... and you'll be all set.

Mm. Already thought of that. Though it does defeat the purpose of buying the loveseat in that beautiful colour, if I might say so.

I'm guessing the rain was pretty bad in ajax? Was nasty thunderstorms out here. Kept the horses in the barn all day. (Yawn) and all day today as it looked like more rain. (We're farm sitting).
