A question for you all...

Which game would I prefer? WoW or FFXI? Or another one entirely? In your opinion of course.

What are the pros and cons of each?

WoW!
Because it's possible to solo and play casually.
Because arwen77 and myself are playing.

As far as game content goes... I can't honestly speak for FFXI. I've never had the urge to play it because I know nothing about Final Fantasy. I do, however, know Warcraft. I suppose for you it's more of a random call.

As for another game entirely... Guild Wars looks interesting, but time will tell how that one turns out.

In addition to that, my best advice would be to try both and see which one you prefer. I hear arwen77 has a pass that you could use to try WoW without paying. I think FFXI would involve an investment. But, those games typically come with a 30-day free trial anyway.
