458 MILES from Hobbiton to Rivendell!

Because it occurs to me that if others can, so can I. And yes, I admit it, I saw this first in [livejournal.com profile] annathepiper's LJ.

So, the link for anyone else who might be interested...
The Eowyn Challenge?

Of course, my fun issue is that I get distances in KM and have to translate to miles, but that's not too difficult.

So, to begin with:
Distance covered: 4.2KM or 2.6 miles yesterday (Feb. 24.)

And on the trip, this means:
0 Leave Bag End at full dark (ca. 7 p.m.). Go around (W) end, jump hedge.
1 Go through gate into a lane. Head west.
2 Leave lane, follow hedgerows south.

Heading across The Water on a plank bridge, but somewhere in the middle of the bridge, I think. :)

And we're off. ;)

*peers* Okay... That's just cool.

Timely, too. Willow, at work, is trying to rope in into Dragonboat racing this year...

*grins*

How far can you row? *snickers*

I just thought it was way cool, so why not give it a try? We can cheer each other on, yes?

I should think so. ;)

I've already passed the link on to Willow...

Heh, I should do this thing. I've been better with the weights aspect, but I always slack on this sort of thing. Probably because I've always had bad ankles.

I don't suppose driving miles count? *halo*

Hey, I had to try. ;)
