Amsterdam Airport
Aug. 1st, 2004 09:14 amWell, here I am, arrived safe and sound in Amsterdam for the lovely 4 hour + layover. They have English keyboards here - that's nice. Though I was getting used to the keys not showing what they actually typed, while I was in Norway.
I forgot to mention one of the strange things I saw while in Norway. A woman on what looked like a skateboard, without the pointy ends, using ski poles to move herself along a straightaway.
Okay, cool. Roller Skis.
Somehow there's promise in that.
Also, all the big white plastic covered hay bales remind me of marshmallows. Giant Marshmallows. I figure someone should take a crane and create the Staypuft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters out of them. Yup.
This is the first time I'm using paid-minute internet at an airport though. It's kind of neat. Though I'd rather not have quite so long a layover. *sighs*
I could have slept in! (Of course, to do that, I'd have had to go to bed last night, and well, that just didn't happen. But you get the idea.)
