Yes, I am zoned out this morning. I didn't stay up too late last night, so I'm not sure why. Maybe because I woke up but stayed in bed to snuggle the two cats who decided I really needed to stay there. ;)

And there was a Terry cat sighting this morning. He was all the way up here in the master bedroom. While Taliesin and Cheyenne were telling me to stay in bed just a little longer.

I'm still bouncing from the GBS DVD. It's awesome.

I did rp one scene with Oceana last night. It was very odd, in some ways - I'm so out of it when it comes to rp. And I was also playing some Civ3 yesterday. I should play that game more often; I'm sure I'd get better at it that way.

Other than that, no news. Oh,except that [livejournal.com profile] akesteven hasn't called yet, and later today I get to go visit my family once more and eat rappie pie and bug relatives who didn't make it for Christmas, because they were doing their own thing but who are coming to my Mom's open house.

Fun, fun, fun. Right, time to go find that coffee.

I've discovered differences between the two installs of Civ3 I did. The one on my machine at home has extra bells and whistles aside from just the Multiplayer stuff. The one here at my folks is missing some nifty tricks.

But, I am learning, nonetheless. Next experiment: Tax rates early on.

Money is a good thing. So is figuring out how to use catapults. ;)

And how to create embassies.

Now if only I could get espionage...

It's the whole catapult/cannon thing I've yet to figure out. I think they seem to be good for city defense and that's about it.

Logically, I think they're also good for sieges, but I don't remember enough of Civ 3 to know if it's relevant there or not. :)

Yes, you'd think they'd be good for seiges. But, I haven't figured out how to do that, yet, either. And you need someone to guard them.

Bombard... and yes, you do need someone to guard them. ;)

I haven't figured out how to bombard yet, either. Though, that's partly 'cause I haven't really tried.

Use the B key, or the bombard button at the bottom of the screen...

It's just that you have to actually use a special key to attack with the darn thing. that sucks.

That would make a difference, yes...
