Home at Last

Went out on errands today. That was busy. I even did a significant chunk of my Christmas shopping, which is a good thing. Still have a few gifts to get, for the hard to buy types.

I stopped in and visited my Mom for an hour and a half too. Dad was sleeping - I guess they'd been out partying last night and it was his turn to drink. *snickers* And Magic, their dog, was so happy to see me he was whining at me when I came in the door. Wouldn't let me past the entry way for a good 10 minutes of petting. Obviously I need to go visit him more often. :) Even Merlin came out to give me a head-bonk and to get a scritching. Funny, that.

And Mom says it's official, she's put in her letter, and she's retiring April 1, 2004.

Now, that is just scary.

You know, I bet it could be... but somehow, I don't think my Mom would do that. ;)

It's her last working day, and then she'll get vacation time/comp time thereafter.

you know sometimes i wish i can just retire and travell, but then ahmmmm i don't have money, oh man, you mean i have to get back to work?

sometimes i wish i can find a lamp or win a million dollars.
