Oh yeah ...
And just to prove I'm not always happy go lucky, and that I can have disturbing thoughts too...
Okay, so I woke up about 4am this morning in a blind panic.
It was a dream, only a dream. Yeah, I had to keep telling myself that until 6:30am when my alarm went off. Or maybe it was Pam's, I'm not sure.
Anyway, the nightmare, as I recall, went sort of like this. I'd moved to a new and bigger house, but it looked a lot like the house I live in now. The back yard was completely fenced in though. And the house next door, and around most of the block had turned into this big estate with a mansion.
Not much of a nightmare, right?
Well, it was early morning, the sun just rising, and I went to let the dogs out. This is strange, because I only have cats. Anyway, I know I let Max out (he's my Aunt Leah's dog, and died a couple years ago), and Timbit (My cousin Tracy's dog). There were a couple of other little terrier-poodle type dogs too. Shalome might have even been there, for all I know. And my two cats, as well as Arthur and Merlin. (Yes, I have 3 cats, but Taliesin is not allowed outside.)
This shouldn't have been a problem, we'd walked the perimeter of the backyard upon arrival the day before, and there was no way the animals could get out. Heck, the fences were high enough that the cats couldn't even jump them - don't ask me how that happened. It was a dream, remember.
Anyway, it was funny when I noticed the yard seemed remarkably empty of cats. Now remember, I was in my pjs, just letting them out for their morning romp. I was wearing, in fact, my blue pj pants, with white and grey cats, all with red ribbons. And a t-shirt, navy blue. As I looked around, I was just in time to see Timbit's tail vanishing under the fence, about halfway down, on the left side...
So over I went to investigate - and there was a hole all the way through.
It wasn't there the night before, and it looked like it had been dug from the other side. So, over I go to the gate, through mine, and into the yard of the estate next door. Still in my pjs, wearing slippers too. sheesh. I got a brain, right.
And then of course, is when I saw Cheyenne come flying through the air to bounce twice on concrete, and come to a skidding stop. And there were all the other animals, friendly as they are, in various states of unconsciousness, with broken bones, as they were all being picked up, grabbed by the tails and just flung through the air.
Cheyenne was not in good shape, she landed on her head, and I could see blood coming out of her nostrils.
At which point, I woke up.

Now if only I can get rid of the 4am wakeup call, I'll be fine.

I get a 2:30AM wakeup call regularly, thanks to my landlords' shock-treatment shift-worker's alarm clock.

I remember dreams that took on that sort of theme. Still do on occassion, and they are never fun.
At least you got to wake up and give your animal family great big hugs.....and get scratched as they think ...oO(Why is this silly lady scooping us up and squeezing us?! Mreow!) ;)
*snugs again* Hope your day goes well, and you forget all about last night.

Last night, I only got awakened by a thunderstorm - that was much better.
odd, me too
My watch is 5 minutes fast.
I don't know what it was about...just frightening.
