Been offline mostly since Thursday. Played Civ 3, I think I mentioned. Well, maybe not. No RP at all. It was a nice break from it, and probably one I really needed.
We watched Samurai X on Sunday - the 2 episodes we hadn't seen yet. So now that's 4 episodes of Samurai X duly watched. Then we watched some movie about a guy named Tenchi who had to go back in time to save his parents from an evil entity named Kain.
*grins*
It was a good change of pace from the excruciatingly slow pace of Samurai X. Next time, hopefully we'll get into more Kenshin ... but this time there was reason to not watch it. Ah well, there's always next time.
Oh - almost forgot - went to my cousin Tracy's babyshower on Saturday. It was good to see my goofy relatives, and I enjoyed it. It was nothing extraordinary, though they did ask about
arwen77. Makes me think my Mom and Dad have been talking, though it coulda been my Aunt Jean. :)
We took Magic for a walk, and discussed decorating, rp, writing and some writing ideas that a couple of us have - it's an interesting phenomenon, but it's starting to seem as though online rp is losing it's appeal. There's something missing in it - it just doesn't go quite far enough. If that makes sense at all, I don't know.
Anyway, I still haven't finished up taking over the world. I did take over the Zulus and most of the Babylonians (The nasty creatures built cities over in Australia, so I have to use boats to go get them.) (Course, I do have all of North and South America under my sway in this round of Civ 3. It's a worthy start.
Interestingly enough, I think this is only the second time I've started a Civ3 game, and the nuances are different enough from Civ2 that I'm having to relearn a lot of stuff. It's cool though. I like it.
