Another day?

[livejournal.com profile] myrynvalona's Legacy story is cool. I'm glad she's writing it.

Yesterday, a bit of rp, a bit of chatter, helped Val level up her Cluckups character (she hadn't done that yet), and chatted more.

Atalanta's letter to the Sitter's hall is great. That's a beautiful idea - well done! Of course, I have no idea just yet how to respond to it, but *laughs* I will. Somehow.

Seems that Merlin will be joining the house for a couple weeks starting tonight, and Magic from July 23-27 or so. Oh boy, how we're going to figure all this out, I do not know. I'm mostly worried about the puppy - from 8 until 7pm is too long to leave him. How can we figure out a way to keep the poor guy and not have him go nuts? Inquiring minds got a wee bit of a problem, that we do. It wasn't so bad, when it was just the weekend, but yeesh. I suppose I could try to get to work early and leave early. Then that might work.

Eh, we'll work it out.

We always do.

How old is the puppy? If you think he can stay inside that long without having an accident, my advice is to give him stuff to play with and chew on. Something other than what you don't want destroyed. *laughs* I give my two doxies rawhide chews, which I get at the local Walmart.

*laughs*

Magic? He's 7... maybe 8. ;)

And he's pretty good about not chewing things, actually. Though he'll be a bit freaked out, since his owners will be off without him.

*grins* Ayep, they do that when their owners go away. Both of mine do. :)

*laughs*

Even the cats get irate if you leave them for long enough.

Yeah, that they do. *laughs* Every now and again, I'll put Myr in her harness, put her up on my shoulders, and take her for a drive. Last time I took her somewhere was the Highland Fjord War. I believe I sent you some pics of that. Myr gets kinda heavy sometimes, as she's plenty big enough to just barely fit across both shoulders.

Yes, you showed me some of those pics. If I could convince Taliesin to stay in a halter, I'd take him out too. But so far, he just escape artists out of any halters I've found. Must not have found the good cat harnesses yet.

What kind of harness have you tried? Figure Eight harnesses, or H harnesses? H harness are generally pretty hard to get out of if you have them properly snugged. Figure Eight harnesses are pretty easy to escape for a determined cat, that and they can choke the cat. I don't like figure eight harnesses. :p

It's an H harness, I think.

The problem is more with the clasp than anything. He can get it undone.

What kind of clasp does it have? There are two types, the regular type buckle, and the clip clasp. I have all regular buckles. They're usually harder to get undone. Not always though.

It's a clip - like I said, I need to get hold of one that he can't undo. I'll have to go shopping and see if I can't find a real harness.

*grins* Maybe I'll have some time this weekend.
