sinjunYesterday, Alery and Wolfcat came over, and we had pizza. We chatted, and rolled up d20 modern characters. I created one unlike most of my others, if only because the dice weren't very friendly to me. *sniffles* Mind you, they weren't horrid, but they weren't very good either. I think it's the new purple dice getting used to me. Anyway, Alery left at a reasonable time, and Pam and Val crashed to sleep, but Wolfcat and I stayed up to talk for a while.
Mmm, well, 5am, and it wasn't yet sunrise, but not by much, when we finally decided to call it a night.
Needless to say, we weren't moving much this morning.
This afternoon though - we got ourselves together, and went out to brave the clover meadow that is my backyard. Mowed it. And the front. Weeded the flower beds, and some of the other weeds trying to beat the grass to smithereens. So, that's good. Gave up eventually, got cleaned up, and went to Applebee's for lunch/dinner. Yum. They have good steak.
Oh, and our timing was perfect, because the first few raindrops fell while we were driving to Applebee's, and the downpour happened while we were eating. It was over by the time we came out, though it looks like there will be more. Oh, and while it was impressive rain, as a thunderstorm it was a definite let down. We had one lightning bolt and one crack of thunder. Better by far than tornadoes and the like, I agree, and I can't help but be grateful for that, but at the same time, if it's going to go to the trouble to be a thunderstorm, it could at least give us 2 lightning bolts across the sky.
