Friday Blather
Writing this in between working, so I'm not at all sure when I'll finish it. We'll see how it goes. At least I know when I started it.
This computer is so slow, it takes Visio about 10 minutes to load up, and start. Which gives me at least a couple minutes to type here.
Yesterday - busy day at work, but I was less tired, at least to start with.
Cea was wanting to get Evangeline alone to talk to her, without any Sedai or Gaidin, and do you think that could happen? No way! It was most amusing. Between Katelynn, Cheryce, Kaella, Xeric, Jacyn and so on, the poor teens never got a moment to themselves. Ah well, and then real life kicked in and I had to head out. This reminds me - must answer to the sitter's list, @mail the wizards about plots I'm currently in, and see about finding out about life before the Arches test was implemented. If possible. There was something else, but I've forgotten.
Tori had a chat with Dr. Franklin about the Lumati. He was nicer about it than Sheridan and Fallon, but just as helpless. ;)
There, that's all the rp that was rp at all. Lots of chatting though, which was nice.
Tonight - I won't be online. Company is coming to call. The FNCB might be postponed, but that's okay. We can still get together and laugh and watch Kenshin or maybe start up a new rl game. While we wait for the DM over across the ocean to be ready to play with us again. *sniffles* Silly RL and work getting in everyone's way.
It might be good to have an rl game to play, for those times when we can't get the FNCB coordinated.
Plans for this weekend. Well, it depends on the weather. We have to do some outside work - mow the lawn, do some weeding, get some mulch out. Remove the dead rose bush. Darn it all. The lilac is leafing I noticed today. *beams* It's really spring when the lilac gets its leaves. (At my parents' house, it's really spring when the Black Walnut gets its leaves, but I don't have a black walnut tree. Yet.
Anyway, the plans for the weekend involve doing those outside chores, hopefully saturday morning 10-12. If the weather cooperates. If not, we'll have to postpone to some other time. And then, in the afternoon, we can play. Sunday morning, again if the weather cooperates, I want to go for a bike ride.
The weather - last I heard - is calling for showers starting this afternoon (which my headache corroborates), leading to thunderstorms over night. And cloudy with showers both tomorrow and Sunday. Le sigh. That just figures. The water is good - we need the rain, but darn it all, not every day, all week!
And I just got given something that will take a good solid day's analysis, and I don't have the time to do it. Yeesh. (Yes, work is going on, while I'm working on this. Believe it or not.)
There is a lot of time spent some days wishing. Wishing for money, wishing I was braver, wishing people were closer, wishing the world was smaller, more peaceful, wishing I was in better shape, had more free time, could do just what I wanted to when I want to.
No more, and no less.
Wishing my life away.
And then there are the days when so much gets done that I don't even have time to stop and admire the sunset, or the lillies growing in my garden. Life is such a topsy-turvy thing. But it's such a beautiful ephemeral way to be.
Had a meeting, and it's now almost 2pm. I'm prioritizing tasks, because I won't be able to get to them all today. Some days, life just gets too busy, but that's okay. I'd rather be busy than not. This weekend, I want to play with my webpage, and put up a couple more pictures. This is the time I want to figure out how to do thumbnails. A goal.
Course, I seem to be full of plans for this weekend, including gardening, visiting a nursery to get more plants. I want roses, lilacs, lillies. I want to get rid of the grass on my front lawn, replacing it with shrubs, flowers, mulch and no weeds. Do I think big? Uhm, well, yes. But that's not new. We'll see how much gets accomplished.
