Day 3 - No computer

Am sure I'm suffering withdrawal. Stupid computer. Stupid networking.

Now the biggest question is how I'm going to do my share of the group project this evening.

Folkses are emailing me stuff. If I'm lucky I can find the piece of paper that Rogers sent when they switched email over from @home to @rogers, so I can hopefully log on via someone else's computer and get to my email. I know where it should be, but well, whether it actually is there is another question entirely.

I guess we'll see tonight.

Just realized. I have a server to do today. I'll be a little late tonight.

Step 1 - plug in new router.
Step 2 - turn on computers?
Step 3 - see if problem is resolved?

Is there anything in there we need to do? Or can we work on the basic set up for tonight, at least long enough for me to get my email and get hold of a pc with Microsoft Word 2000?

No there isn't anything to do on the router that can't wait till I get home. By default it should give out ip's so just make sure your pc and mine are set to get ip's automatically (I think I left them in that mode anyway, if not, network connections, tcp/ip properties, I'm sure you can figure it out.) Val's is not set to dynamic but then it was already set with the default subnet.

Use my PC if you want to. It has all the programs you need. Looks like I may be even longer since the idiot client who said she has to leave at 4:00 pm is still there at the moment and we can't take the server till she's finished. I've no patience for this person.

Works. we should be able to get yours and Val's pc on the network, and I'll just use yours if mine doesn't work. ;)
