In the Comfy Chair

It's a really nice chair, though I wouldn't want to sleep in it. *grins* Step one of the house redesign project complete. Okay, it's probably not really step one, but that's close enough this morning.

The computer room is a lovely shade of blue (Thanks, Mom!). So, I have to remove the tape off the trim, tape the floor and the walls around the trim, and get to trim painting today. I would like to get the primer and at least one coat of yellow today. Maybe even 2 coats of yellow, if I'm ambitious. The idea at any rate is to finish the painting in the room /this/ weekend.

And I need to visit Home Depot this weekend too, because I need to make sure that when things go back into this room, they go back in some semblance of order, rather than the mish-mash they were before. Preferably with all nicely protected wires so that brat cat Taliesin can't chew them, even if he somehow does get in there.

That is the plan anyway.

First conference call for today is over. Next is at 9am. Coffee tastes really good about now.

Naps are Bleah

Okay, I admit I just took a nap, but I still don't like them. Nasty evil things that leave me too groggy to think. Hrmph.

Let's see. I feel accomplished today. Here's why:

- 5 conference calls sat through and paid attention to. The implementation is a go.
- 1 heavy mosaic table relocated from downstairs to the upstairs balcony where it was always supposed to go
- the computer room walls taped prior to painting the trim
- the computer room trim rinsed off prior to painting
- the computer room trim primed white prior to painting with the real color
- breakfast and lunch managed in there
- Mom sent off happily to move into her new house wwaaayyyy up north by Pembroke
- paint brush washed and ready for reuse

And it's only 2:30pm.... *grins*

Now 4:30pm. And the first coat of yellow is on the trim, paint brush cleaned off.

Okay then

Second coat of yellow is done. Gotta wait until morning to see if I need a third coat though. Just in case.

Cats have been in and out like yo-yos. Taliesin got kicked out for being a pain while I was trying to eat dinner.

I also got some more of the white rocks where they're supposed to go, and poured boiling water on a couple of weeds. It actually does kill them. Yay for boiling water!

Still need to go close some doors and all. And actually, I can do that anytime now, since the paint should be getting dry. Yay. Course, I still have a million things to do tomorrow. But I might not need to paint another coat on - that would be good.

In RP news - been dozy most of the day, so not a lot of rp. But a scene with Tori and Marcus is happening. That's nice. The canon scene on SG:A has run into some technical difficulties, but will hopefully get moving eventually. (Tomorrow probably, if it follows the pattern.)
