On the Weekend ...
Friday night ... uhm, nothing unusual. Relaxed, chilled, and otherwise had fun.
Saturday ... up bright and early at 7am. went to the Driving Range to hit a bucket of balls with Val and Pam. (Pam is supposed to update her own lj about this. It was fun. We all laughed pretty hard at the silliness of the game, not to mention our own silliness. Course, that might just have been cause we were up so early! Pam and Val left before i did, cause Pam had some work to do. Bleah - work on a weekend. Ick.
After I finished with my bucket of golf balls, I headed intown to my parents' house. Where I visited with the dog (Magic) and the cat (Merlin). They were both very glad to see me, and happy to get skritches. *grins* Yes, even Merlin came in to snuggle for a bit, despite being the tough tomcat that he is. His reputation didn't stand up to it. ;) It is truly amazing what happens when my parents go on vacation for two weeks. I also watered their plants ... hopefully I didn't miss any that really needed it. And I picked up my brother's degree from the wall, as he asked me to.
Then I got gas, and headed back out towards home, with a stop at my Aunt Jean's. I let Lexus (dog) out of her kennel and she was all hyper and excited to see me too. Stayed there for a while so the dog didn't get too lonely.
Then headed out again, to the Pickering Town Centre, where I bought stuff. I faxed the degree to my brother, so he should have a copy maybe. I don't know for sure if the fax worked, but here's hoping. And I bought a couple new shirts for work, some shelves for the computer room closet, a cream pitcher and sugar bowl (no, I didn't have one yet), a couple of place mats, and just general stuff. The cream pitcher and sugar bowl ended up not being in my Corelle pattern, but they're just white, so I'm going to keep them anyway.
Then I went home, and took a nap. ;)
Saturday evening - a little rp, a little chatting with Pam and Val, a little picking on my own cats.
Sunday - got up around 8:30 ish, and off we went on a bicycle ride. About 9km, which is the middle route. The short route is 5km. It was very nice, yet again, which is absolutely no surprise. Then Val, Pam and I went back to Aunt Jean's - they hadn't seen the new house yet. Stephen was there, so we visited for a little bit, and then headed out to do (gasp) more shopping. Didn't buy anything until we got to MacMillan Orchards. Then we bought a lemon meringue pie, a chocolate cream pie, some stuffed chicken breasts, and some peach frozen yoghurt. Yum. Oh, and some dilled Salmon steaks.
Of course, there was no room in the freezer for the lemon meringue, so we had to start eating it for dessert last night. *beams*
Arranged a little minivacation for this coming weekend. Believe it or not, I will be offline for the 27th and 28th of July. *gasp* Going north to Georgian Bay with Val, Pam, Donna and John. The bed and breakfast is already booked and everything. Okay, Donna was the one who arranged it all, but I was consulting with her on it. ;) I'm looking forward to it. Donna wants to collect rocks, but me, I just want to enjoy the semi-wilderness.
Tonight - RS Council meeting. Which means for those of you who don't know that I will be slower than usual in any other RP. Guess that's the perils of having 2 alts in a major scene, hmm?
*grins* Any bets on how long into the scene before I flub and give away the fact that I play both characters to everyone there?
