Houdini's got nothing on this cat!
Jul. 2nd, 2002 11:03 amSaturday at the SCA event, it was suggested that I could bring my Taliesin to the event. Put a halter on him, and let him prowl through the grass, thinking he's a big tough leopard cat.
I was amused by this, though slightly concerned about the heat, the dogs and how Taliesin would take to wearing a halter. Since the event is so close to my home, I didn't spend my nights in a tent, choosing instead the comfort of my own home. However, this did allow me to find the halter I'd bought for Taliesin, but never dared put on the brat.
He promptly took it off. Took him about 2 minutes the first time, and maybe 30 seconds the second. Sheesh.
Okay, so I figured out that if I put the leash on the halter, he can't get the halter off. This worked. Maybe for all of 10 minutes, before he figured out how to bite the leash fastener open, and squirmed out of the halter again.
*blinkblink*
Uhm, no way on earth I'm taking this brat to the event like this. Obviously the halter will require some more work, since Taliesin is a freak of nature. *grins* Or perhaps he's just a cat. Sometimes I think those two things are synonymous.

So, something that
anselon said this weekend (at the SCA event) (yes, we are there, honest!) made me curious.
In the Clan Korval books, they use a rainbow technique to reach peace. A meditation method. I don't know enough about meditation to know if this is a usual way, but it wouldn't surprise me any. Just for fun, I thought I'd try it.
I found it very interesting. Red was troublesome. It kept wanting to be pink. Orange was tough. It never came in clear. Yellow wanted to be blue-green. Green was easy. Blue was melding into Green. And Indigo and Violet I just couldn't imagine in my mind. Hrm.
Such strange things in my head. I wonder what, if anything, that says about me.
