Finally.
Whirlwind of a morning is over. I think the afternoon bodes to be calmer. This is good. Food is also good - tuna sandwich and split pea soup. It works.
And in another note, the wind chill is supposed to be much less significant today. Around -16C or so. Yes, I am going to keep using it, because it's close enough for my purposes. And if they measure wind chill in some obscure format that is only close to degrees Celcius - I am still going to translate it to something that I can relate to. It was still pretty darn cold this morning, but I'm told it feels warmer out there today. Less wind does feel that way, regardless of what the actual temperature is.
I'm kind of glad to know that the scientific community is still working on continuous improvement of its processes though. ;)
Work is busy, go figure.
Last night's class - I mentioned, but you know, I can give a bit more detail. We were talking about COBIT, which looks to me like an upgraded version of SEI's CMM. Though COBIT comes from someplace called the IT Institute or something like that. I'll have to look up a bit more information on it, I think. I also need information on outsourcing and datawarehousing, not necessarily combined. Successes and failures thereof. Resource ideas welcome.
RP - Got a chance to have Carai talk to the Amyrlin, and show off her new bouncing baby boy. *grins* And in other rp news, there wasn't any. Whee. No time, too much other stuff to do.
And why is it that Apache, bless her ridiculous feline heart, has decided that 4:30am is the absolute perfect time to park herself on my pillow by my ear, and purr louder than a fricking Mack truck? Every morning this week...

Date: 2003-01-24 11:24 am (UTC)You mean it's the only time she can get to me around the other two? I suppose that might well be accurate.
Poor little thing.

Date: 2003-01-24 12:01 pm (UTC)except at such unreasonable times of the morning when I'm awakened... though, if she was 2 hours later, it would be a lovely way to wake up.
Darn ... I obviously need to train her to be a better alarm clock. ;)

Date: 2003-01-24 12:40 pm (UTC)Then again, I don't have to get up to let the darn cat out. She's just being her usual pain self. ;)
Kinda like some characters I could name... *grins* Elyse maybe?
