Rainbows
So, something that
anselon said this weekend (at the SCA event) (yes, we are there, honest!) made me curious.
In the Clan Korval books, they use a rainbow technique to reach peace. A meditation method. I don't know enough about meditation to know if this is a usual way, but it wouldn't surprise me any. Just for fun, I thought I'd try it.
I found it very interesting. Red was troublesome. It kept wanting to be pink. Orange was tough. It never came in clear. Yellow wanted to be blue-green. Green was easy. Blue was melding into Green. And Indigo and Violet I just couldn't imagine in my mind. Hrm.
Such strange things in my head. I wonder what, if anything, that says about me.

Most of my techniques involve splitting your focus in many different ways, and then using various forms of imagery to control it in such a way as you accomplish your goal (someone else actually taught me the basics of this trick, he used it to get rid of headaches, I developed it into more complex self-control techniques).

And then there's your inner space, sort of a quiet place where you can catch up with yourself.
Oh, bah. You should read the books. then you'd know more. I'm sure I'm mangling the description.
