Meetings bad. Planning meetings is worse.

How amazing is that?

It is somewhat amusing how I find myself with less and less supervision, more and more responsibility, and yet ... I don't entirely want to be here.

Sloth. I think that really I am too lazy for my own good. Though I do push myself when I think it's important. Really important. Specially if I think it will affect other people. Cause, you know, I hate to waste anyone else's time.

I like being left alone by my boss. I have three or four things to do, and I switch between them fairly frequently; I'm quite disciplined about it, actually - I work on something for a maximum of two days, then I switch to another project completely and work on that. I discovered my problem with finishing stuff and loosing the motivation to work hard on it is I used to stop working on something when I get bored by it; now that I stop working before I get bored, it's never quite the chore to resume working on it four or five days later.

Sure, I slack off a bit, read LJ, peruse /., etc... but I put in almost 45h a week, when all the other people in my position only do 37.5. I find it's all down to keeping yourself interested in the task at hand, and using your time to keep yourself from getting bored. :^)

Of course, if you have to plan meetings, you can easily be forgiven for feeling lazy. *shudder* :P
