Keep in mind that my current car ( I pick up the new one tomorrow ) is a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier with no working A/C ...

I don't. My current car is one step beyond the model-T. It's an '89 Ford Tempo with no A/C or heat. I'm replacing one piece at a time so I suppose one day it'll be new:)
