Beautiful sunny day

And I'm in a hyper mood. Is there a connection?

Someone remind me to buy lottery tickets before Friday. 20 Million dollars, even if it is Canadian, would be a lovely thing.

My father is retiring on Tuesday. You know, I have no idea how he feels about it, but it certainly is an odd feeling for me. He's been working my whole life, longer really, and he deserves to relax and enjoy himself ... but you know, there's just something in my head that is not sure how to deal with this.

I think there must be a Hallmark card for this occasion. ;)

If you could say it like Hallmark, you wouldn't need Hallmark. =)

Oh, then I could be the next Hallmark .... *grins*

Oy!

How much does a lottery ticket cost? :)

'cuz you know, you're throwing your money away. :P

True.

But ... someone wins.

And if you don't buy, your chance of winning is absolute zero.

Instead of 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

True, but consider the opportunity cost of a lottery ticket. Every dollar you spend on it is a dollar you can't spend on something else. Like chocolate, or a book. :P

[identity profile] damara.livejournal.com 2002-04-24 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
but consider all the books and chocolate with 20 million ...

Pfft. You can't argue with statistics.

Well, you can, but then they fail you. Bah! :P

*laughs*

Sadistics... not statistics.

And they can just about be made to show anything.

Buy lottery tickets before Friday.

You have now officially been reminded!

Thank you!
