It should get better, right?
Jan. 24th, 2002 12:17 pmSo, Here I am, up on time, mostly. It's a grey blah day, but well, it's January. That's only to be expected. I get myself into the car, head off for work. Water bottle is full, radio is mildly entertaining, and I'm off on the 64 km hike.
Through the stop and go traffic.
Which is when I notice the steam coming from my hood.
And the temperature gauge rising.
*sigh*
Pull over to the side of the road, and wait. 2 very nice ladies offered to call someone for me. And so did a toe truck driver. CAA came, toed my car.
3 and a half hours later, I'm on the road again. With a new radiator hose. I'm actually counting my blessings that it wasn't anything worse.
Course, all this just makes me feel like I've been on the road for hours and hours. So I don't want to work.
But it's a minor glitch in the scheme of things, isn't it?
Perspective is everything.
