Dec. 10th, 2007 01:22 pm Mmm, good mood today.
Lunch out - paid for by someone else. ;) That works for me.
Yesterday - lots of FFXI. I didn't go skiing, cause I didn't trust the weather. Probably should have, but eh - there'll be other times. And I got to level 39 WAR. *beams* I am amazed though at how many people refuse to party without a NIN there. Seriously. We had one guy join our party and then drop out after looking at it, saying the party won't work, no tank. D'uh. We had a white mage, red mage, and 2 dancers with /nin. And a war/mnk - me. Yes, I admit that War/Mnk needs more cures than the /nin - agreed. But darn, I got from level 36 - 39 in a reasonable time. And less than 2k xp away from 40. The party worked really well in fact. Folks who think there's only one particular combination that ever works - get a life and go away. (I've taken to answering party invites with "I have no /NIN, but if you still want me in your party, yes please." It saves time and trouble all the way around.) (Course, I was amused to then get asked if I had /MNK. Yup! And good as a subjob until lvl 45 WAR at this point. So it was all good. And lots of fun.)
Course, that doesn't mean I'm not gonna level NIN. Cause I do see the value in it. Just ... it's not always necessary, ya know. Especially given the difficulty level of opening NIN. (Okay, so I do have it opened already... i still gotta go back to Norg for the level 9 scroll for it... so it's not a good subjob for war yet. Need to get it up to level 19 at the least and actually probably higher.)
And for some reason, I am now being flirted with by ... multiple people on that game. I am not sure why. It is amusing though.

Date: 2007-12-11 08:37 pm (UTC)Still....I'd level Nin if I was you ;)
If you want to get to Norg, make sure you have Prism Powders and Silent Oils with you and a warp scroll too. Go Into Sea Serpent Grotto and hug the right side wall till you get to a wall with a secret opening. You can target it and it will have no name appear. Take invisible off, open the door and go inside (Leave sneak on!). Once inside, re-invisible and keep following the right side wall all the way to Norg.
The trip to where the scroll is located once your quest is started is rather easy. You can sneak/invis there no worries. The directions are on Allakhazam (I cant remember them off hand) There are 2 doors to get through on the way there, make sure you keep sneak on as most mobs there are sound aggro. Drop invis, open the door and re-invis. The room where the scroll is doesnt have any mobs there.
Hope this helps. As for flirting, well of course they are! You, my dear, draw guys from the woodworks and its been that way since Ive known you ;)
