At least, for me...

So, sub jobs for my poor little warrior. ;) 
When does one start a subjob and which one should I choose? Oh the decisions. :) Any thoughts? 

And yes, this is a FFXI post.

Since advance jobs are not available to be quested until you have a level 30 start job, your choices are limited. The two that are really the only viable ones are Monk (for added attack power and HP bonus) and Red Mage (for cure and added sword proficiency).

Most pick monk for their sub job simply because Sword is a level B weapon for warrion. They are more proficient with axe and great axe.

My personal suggestion, buy a great axe as soon as possible and stick with that. Sub Monk when you finish the sub job quest at level 18. And make sure you level monk to about 15 so when it is subbed, you dont have to worry about anything until your Warrior is level 30 (subs are always half the level of the main job)
