Is it a good thing the world turns slowly? If it turned faster, would we all fall off?

(Note - this is a rhetorical question, not scientific. Silly answers only please. ;))

We probably would, but really, all we need to do is adjust the rotation matrix to allow for a smoother rotation. And if all else fails, we can always implement reflection off the sides of the view screen, so if we do fall off, we just bounce back. ;)

hmmm, rotational force would indicate: the faster the world turns, the increase in gravitational energy; therefore, we would splatter against the Earth (SPLAT) not be eject from it (pheeet).

Of course then again, this theory assumes that the Earth will stay on its axis if it rotated faster.

Hmm, working on the assumption that Earth, like a spinning top will move, therefore Earth would no longer be in its orbital plane and hence flying off the surface is a moot point.

As was absolutly proven in Superman: The Movie, the earths rotation dictats the speed of time.

He turned the world backwards, time went backawards, right?

Therefore: If the world spun faster, -time- would go faster. Lifes to short as it is. Ergo: Good that it spins so slow.

Besides... even if we were going to fall off, theres plenty of stuff for us to grab onto to make sure we stayed down. It'd just make going outside much more.. interesting. One thing for sure: People would get much, much better at acrobatics ;)
