Hmm, working on the assumption that Earth, like a spinning top will move, therefore Earth would no longer be in its orbital plane and hence flying off the surface is a moot point.

Therefore: If the world spun faster, -time- would go faster. Lifes to short as it is. Ergo: Good that it spins so slow.
Besides... even if we were going to fall off, theres plenty of stuff for us to grab onto to make sure we stayed down. It'd just make going outside much more.. interesting. One thing for sure: People would get much, much better at acrobatics ;)
