It's a Monday
Yup. Work is busy, and I gots things to do to night.
Eustacio? I need to talk to you when you have some time... Believe it or not. :)
As for other news, well, let's see - got some school stuff done. Got some fun rp done on both Daes and RS.
One of these days, I might try putting my thoughts in order on LJ and posting. It's an interesting situation, in a lot of ways. After all, a live journal is still a journal - a place where the owner can put their thoughts, feelings, rants, and whatever else they feel like. That's not in question in my mind, but then, things get fun when what I write in my LJ either offends someone who is reading it, someone on my friend's list or who has me on their friend's list. Should I edit my writing for them? And if so is it then still my live journal?
These are rhetorical questions, don't feel you need to answer them. And while specific events of this week have reminded me of them, they are not intended as any form of attack or specificially for anyone who might or might not be reading this.
It's just that these questions keep coming up, in my LJ, in various of my friends' LJs... all over the LJ community.
Something to think about in the copious free time that I find I have less and less of, I guess.

I think that problem is reasonably well solved with the use of friends-only posts and/or custom filters. That way you know who you're sharing with (and who to kill if the information is leaked out), and avoid aggravating those who shouldn't see it.
The downside being that you have to figure out what to filter how. It's a pain. Same goes for continual disclaimers along the lines of 'when I say X, I don't mean Y, so those of you who think I said Z, think again.'
Still, the whole "my journal! mine!" mentality is all well and good until you (general 'you', not 'you, damara') realize that if you wouldn't say something to a friend in real life, chances are saying it on LJ would not be a good idea either. Give and take, that's what it is. Plus a few custom filters for really close friends.
Eh. I'm just bored at work. It's a slow day. :)
