But I thought I'd moan and complain while I have the chance.

So, nightclass tonight. Not a problem. I come out to a snow squall. Still not a problem. Start driving home, pass an accident or two - the roads are pretty darn slippery, actually. I was impressed. Oh, and the wind gusts were evil. Just for the record.

Right. So, I put on the traffic report, and hear that there's volume by Westney because one lane is blocked. No biggie, I get off at Harwood. So, still no problem.

Until I get there. Westney's ramp is completely closed. There might have been a sign in the collectors, but there was no sign in the express. I was driving in the express. Still, I get off at Harwood, so this is still not a problem.

Except that the ramp at Harwood was, yes, you guessed it, CLOSED too.

I had to drive to the next town over and backtrack to get to my home. I am not a happy driver right now. Bad enough I hate driving but that was just evil. I should figure out who was responsible and complain. I mean, they could have at least opened Salem Rd, for pete's sake!

Sheesh.

P.S. I wonder when the song I'm listening to now will show up for a Solara post. ;)

*snug* Hear you...

Though, it seems to me I heard something from [livejournal.com profile] ashendari about Harwood being closed after Nov. 30. It was in an A-List missive, as I recall. Something to do with directions to the new meeting site — they lost the warehouse, apparently.

Dunno why, though. And I know that doesn't help.

Sorry. *snugs tight* Driving in T.O. sucks. Even I will concede that.

Ah, well.

I knew Harwood was going to close eventually. But it would have been nice of them to open the new exit first!!!!!

Or at least at the same time.

Can't argue with that...

Westney's going to be a PITA from here on out, I'm sure.

Possibly, though there is Salem... the entrance onto the highway from Salem is open. I just don't know about the exit...

Yes. But, I don't know where Salem actually is...

It's not on any map I have access to.

Uhm.... Yes, you do. You drive past it on Bayly to get to my house...

You know the new lights they put in on Bayly? That's at Salem.

Ah. Okay, then. I can deal with that.

Thanks.

*grins*

It's actually closer to my house ... much.

I like it. Well, so long as the exit is open. I wonder if I should exit at Westney today ... ;)

So...

Was it open?

I don't know. I exitted at Westney. Traffic was jamming up, past Westney so it seemed a good idea.

Yep. Makes sense to me.

I'll find out eventually. But there was no more traffic than usual on Westney ... if that means anything.

Then, perhaps it is open.

I can hope. ;)
