wacky weather
Jun. 16th, 2008 09:31 am Happy belated Father's Day to all the dads who might be reading this. :)
My parents were in town for the weekend so it was good, but I am so peopled out... *sigh* Ah well, it was quite a lot of fun! My uncle Ed is very handy and fixed my cat tree and put a 4way water hose splitter in so that I can set up my front watering system properly. Yay! (Yes, I could have done both, but hadn't gotten around to either so he volunteered and helped me out.)
Saturday was a 65th birthday/retirement party for one of my Dad's sisters. Spent the day mostly in the swimming pool. It's been a long time since I got to be a Personal Floatation Device for a 5 year old, but it was fun. at least for a while. Sunday of course was Father's Day. So WhyWhyNot, Grant and I went out fo ra 10.5km walk, give or take. Had brunch with the folks and friends, did a bit of housework and gardening. And then we had a bbq in the thunderstorms with even more relatives: me, my parents, 3 aunts, an uncle, and 3 cousins. Was good fun - the cats were goofy fun. Ronin has taken to using people as launch pads. Well, sort of. He takes off from near the front door to the back of the house, going over the loveseat along the way, whether or not there is anyone sitting on the couch. Oh, and I do have some cute pictures - I'll have to try to remember to post them soon!
Not a lot of LOTRO - no time. A very little bit of rp on SM - because there is a staff run plot involving our crew. It's fun too - puzzles are good. :) Well, okay, so long as the bomb doesn't blow up our ship, they are... Guess we'll see how it goes. Our turn in this plot is this week, then next week is someone else's turn and then it's the third ship's turn. Kinda an interesting way to run the plot, actually. I'm amused and watching to see how it goes.
In other news, there should be Saltation today. I think. Yay!
