Do you have the hang of Thursdays?
Aug. 23rd, 2007 09:24 amSo ... did not go to the gym tonight. *slaps her fingers for being bad* But we're walking tonight ... well, so long as my partners don't cancel on me that is. It's much easier/better to walk with company.
FFXI - I feel accomplished. I looked after the choco, then rented a choco to get to Jeuno, put on my "looking for party" flag, and got 2 invites within 5 minutes. Whee! Accepted one and then managed to get myself around the dancing weapons and out to Qufim by the Delfkutt tower thingy. Okay, so I followed the paladin who was also joining the party, but still - I got there! And we killed clippers and greater pugils. No giants. Which was a-okay by me. Starboy (WHM level 75!!) helped us out a bit, since we kept losing our white mage. 2 of them had nasty connection issues if you can imagine it. I think everyone in the party leveled once, except the original party leader who was the first mage to have connection issues and never made it back. I experienced first hand how incredibly difficult it is to provoke hate off a paladin. Oy! On the other hand, that means the paladin gets to tank and I can go Berserk on the mob. Works for me. ;) Oh, and tarutaru with 2 knives attacking - *chuckles* That was just amusing to watch! And when it was time to go, the paladin also had to leave. And he was kind enough to help me out by passing me some silent oil to get past the *&^*$*#!! dancing weapons in the tunnel back to Jeuno. Those two things are irritating ... but soon they will be less so. :) Note to self, send Sinmu some silent oil. I have to say that folks really are nice out there! I know the fact I don't have any of the new shiny jobs that open up at level 30 kinda is a giveaway that I'm pretty darn new. As is the fact I'm still slower than many folks (but I noticed, not so much any more! Hah!) Anyway, in a mog house in Jeuno currently. Will have to figure out what I'm doing tonight, after walking ... I would like to get back to Bastok to look after the choco but ... I'm promised to rp tonight. So not a lot of ffxi.
Weather - the weather dudes were amusing me today. Talking about rain and thunderstorms all around the city, but they completely ignored the one all over the 401 that I was driving through at the time. Yeesh! Seems we might be walking in the rain tonight. Eh, that's okay - it's good practice.
And I have more money to put in for my fundraising for the weekend walk! Yay! (Way over my target - *happy dance*)
Talked to a friend from school yesterday. MBA school that is. She's out in Calgary and having a great time. That's awesome for her. Hrm, wonder if I should consider a move ... nah, I don't know if Calgary would suit me. But it's worth a thought at any rate.
And ... I don't think I mentioned yet... I'm gonna be a godmother! Well, it's amusing in some ways since I'm not a practicing Catholic. But ya know, it's all about choices I figure. And for sure if needed, I'd look after the kid and make sure she has the chance to be a nun if she wants to. Or whatever. Yes, this is one of the twins I'm talking about - whee! Here's hoping nothing ever happens, cause I'd very much like to keep my friends and not have to look after any of their kids. That's their job, after all. And I'm sure they'll do a much better job than I ever would.
