The Luggage Has Arrived

Though I must admit I did not stay awake until it got here. I passed out at midnight, while my wonderful brother waited up for it. we'd had a call from the guy doing the deliveries asking if it was okay if he came late. He was later than he expected, I must say. But he made it, and my luggage appears to all be in one piece. 

Went outside in shorts and a t-shirt. That in and of itself was just nice. There are some sort of raptors soaring on thermals out there. I counted 8 of them. I'm thinking probably turkey vultures or black vultures or something. Not that I know for sure, because well, an ornithologist I ain't. But they were quite fun to watch for a few minutes.

So now I have coffee, I've had breakfast, and I should get right to the school work. Problem is .... I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep for the rest of the day. Even with the coffee. And the sudafed daytime cough and cold medicine. 

Bahhhh.

However, I am counting my blessings. Not the flu - just a cold.

My brother called to check up on me - isn't he sweet? He also told me that when the courier arrived, he discovered that he'd accidentally left my bag at the previous stop. So he actually had to go back to the hotel (and thankfully not someone's house where he might have woken someone up) and retrieve my bag then return here. Yay for my brother who stayed up during this commotion and collected my bag for me. 

But ... wow. Someone else almost had my luggage!
