I have to share this cause I think it's amusing. However, if you all think it's TMI, too bad. :)
So, I have a lot of reading to do for these 2 courses I'm currently taking, which shouldn't surprise anyone. Lots of reading, analysis, thinking, and then writing. Sometimes I will be decadent and do my reading in the bathtub. It's warm, cozy and comfy to read, and it's sort of a way to multitask. I haven't done so in a while though, because it hasn't occurred to me. Last night however I was in that sort of mood.
For the first time since Ronin arrived at my house.
So, water runs in the tub, and I get in. There's a kitten face peeking over the edge of the tub. And then he's up there, sitting on the side of the tub, yowling at me. Then he starts playing with the water. Which is more than warm, so he jumps a bit and sits back cautiously. Before he starts again. Then Tal arrives to join him on the side of the tub so there's no longer any place to set my book without getting wet kitty paws all over it.
Okay, so this isn't quite working out how I expected.
Then Ronin decides that he'd really like to drink the tub water. A lot of it. And he wouldn't let me stop him. Once he got started, so did Tal. So there I am, sitting in the bathtub, listening to two cats slurping up water, with no place to put my book.
It was both amusing and somewhat frustrating at the same time.
Needless to say, I got out of the tub and drained the water. Went to curl up in bed and read instead.

Darn cats.
