Okay, so - got everything cleaned before any of the guests showed up. Bonus points to us.
Mom and Dad were first, which is good since Mom had the roasting pan for the turkey. I have a roasting pan, but it was too small for the turkey. Much too small. Anyway, Arwen77 mixed the stuffing, Mom and I added ingredients, and he then stuffed the turkey. Did a lovely job of it too.
Dinner was awesome. I had beans, corn, potatoes and the turkey. Aunt Jean brought squash and brussel sprouts. Aunt Leah brought cole slaw, home made cranberry sauce and a veggie platter. (I had nachos and salsa too.) Mom brought the ham, though not the yams - she cheated. :) Cynthia brought apple pie and chocolate pudding pie. Aunt Gail brought cream cheese brownies and cheese cake. Oh, yes, can we say stuffed?
Everyone had a good time. I was amused at how many of my relatives were watching the Masters Golf tournament, and they all seemed pleased when Mickelson won. *laughs* Alrighty then. So long as fun was had.
Lauren liked my talking Stitch doll, though she was a bit perturbed he wouldn't laugh maniacally when she told him he was a rotten egg. (She doesn't quite get the t pronounced right and the voice recognition can't follow her words. It ticked her off. (She's 5, you see.)
Now we have a fridge full of food, and I'm a happy Dara.
*grins*
Oh yes, and I have finally finished chapter 7 and I'm starting on chapter 8. Go me.
