Tentative Class Schedule
Jun. 14th, 2003 10:35 am... Pending whether I actually get into these courses or not.
September to December
Mondays, 7-10pm, MKTG 5200 Marketing Management
Thursdays, 7-10pm, 2 half courses
MGTS 5210 Operations Management
ACTG 5210 Management Accounting
January to April
Mondays, 7-10pm, OBIR 5100, Organizational Behaviour
Thursdays, 7-10pm, FINE 5200, Managerial Finance
*shudders*
Course, this will finish up the actual first term, and get me most of the way through the second term. (2 classes left to the first year, if I was full time.)
So, yeah, this will leave me with 3 required classes, and the rest will all be electives or part of my concentration. Though one of those required classes lasts 2 terms.
Darn. I guess I have to pick a concentration sometime this year. ;)

Alrighty then...
Jun. 14th, 2003 10:08 pmToday, after my earlier posts, went like this.
Before I posted about waiting, I got up, and Val, Pam and I moved the couch and the dining room table into the other rooms. Val and Pam then went to take their car to the dealership for a tuneup. I put dragons from a display case elswhere, and then moved the display case. Turns out Tal had been stashing toys under the display case, so he's got about 10 of them back. Also one of Pam's missing combs was found. And then I emptied off the hutch, which had way too many things on it, and relocated it. Then I waited for Mom.
Mom arrived, with Magic. Taliesin vanished.
We had sandwiches and coffee (orange juice for Pam and Val) and then we got to work. Paint stirred, plastic over the floor, wood taped, so we didn't paint over it. In less than an hour the dining room was primed and it looked 100% better already. I hate the off white builders choose. They're all just an excuse for beige. And well, to be honest, I hate beige.
Alright then. First layer of paint done, and it needed an hour to dry. Mom, Pam and Val started on gardening, while I got sent on errands. Went to the vet to pick up Advantage for the cats. Went to the gardening centre to pick up a new sprinkler, a hose holder, 4 bags of top soil and 2 bags of cedar mulch, as well as a trellis, and a snowball bush.
By way of gardening, we planted a rose bush (blue moon), a forsythia, a snowball bush, a bleeding heart, a blanketflower, a clematis (along with its trellis), another perennial whose name I can't remember, and we put together the composter. Oh, yes, we also mowed the back lawn. We put cedar mulch in amongst the tiger lillies and the lillies of the valley, and Pam started putting topsoil over among the hyacinths, croci, and violas. Whee. Killed a vew weeds too. Mom went out to the golfing range in there, but the rest of us finished up the gardening.
Then we painted the dining room mint green, so it matches the tv room, which is good cause they're all one big room. Pause for a break, and Val and Pam went out to get their car back. (They had a courtesy car for the day, so that was okay.
You'd think that might be enough, right? but we're not done yet. While Pam and Val were gone, Mom and I started chatting, and next thing you know, we primed the hallway down the stairs, and by the front door. Yup, we painted more. Of course, first we had to move everything away from the walls so we could reach them, and set up the tape and plastic, but we did. When Pam and Val got back, bringing dinner, bless their hearts, they joined in, and finished up the priming. And then we ate dinner. Course, we still had 40 minutes, so we went out to sit on the front porch and relax a bit.
Which is when
aleriel showed up.
She visited for a bit, took a peek in at the house, but she never did see the colour the hallway has turned out. :) Guess what colour it is, go on, I dare you.
Anyway, eventually, she left, and it was just about 50 minutes into our break, so we got back to work and painted the hall walls with the lovely blue colour I picked out. It's a gorgeous shade, and it blends wonderfully with the green that's already on the walls. I'm a happy Dara.
Exhausted, but happy.
Taliesin can't quite figure out what we did to his house, but he's much happier now that Magic is gone. Mom and Magic left, oh about 5 minutes before I started typing this up. I think Val is in the shower, and Pam is looking to get in there next.
*grins*
Man oh man, that was busy. Now we're trying to figure out when we can do the trim, so we can put the house back together. Problem is that we have to leave the walls to dry for at least 48 hours, before we tape it, or the tape will pull the paint off with it. Anyway, seems we might do some of it on Tuesday, so we can at least get things back to normal.

Jun. 14th, 2003 10:55 pmOh yeah, and the bottoms of both my feet are sore. I think it's cause of when I was stretching way way way up (Could I ever have used someone 6'2" tall, let me tell you!) to get the wall up by the window. I managed, with only a little spillage, but in the process I stepped on a container of nuts and bolts, and sent them down a step. Ouch. The bottom of that foot's been hurting ever since. I'm not sure why the bottom of the other foot is hurting.
Sympathy maybe.
