On Cats
First, there's a new pic up of Taliesin at order-chaos.com. And yes, it is real.
So, I might not have mentioned, but for the past few years, one of my cats has been sleeping on my bed. Cheyenne usually sleeps sprawled over my legs. However, since Taliesin arrived, she's had her nose out of joint. If the kitten was there, she wasn't. And he decided that he likes me, so he was /always/ there. Except the one night we had company.
The night before last, Cheyenne came up and decided that she was reasserting herself. Taliesin was his usual pain of a brat, and she left.
Last night, however, she tried again. Tal attacked, and she stood her ground. Hissing, spitting, growling, and then a swat. Taliesin ended up off the bed. It didn't end there. He came back, seeing if he could change her mind, chase her off, bite her tail ... I don't know what he was thinking. It was dark, Cheyenne was on my legs, and she wasn't moving. I just kept wincing and hoping that they wouldn't kill each other. But I knew they had to sort it out. Eventually, things got quiet. I fell asleep. Woke up this morning and yes, Cheyenne was still on my legs. Taliesin however was at the foot of the bed, curled up.
*grins*
I wonder if this is a breakthrough in kitty cat relationships in my house ... or just a temporary truce?
