So far this weekend, I've been picked up, tied up, photographed, tag-teamed, and the weekend isn't over yet. I've been kissed, zerberted, rubbed, bagged, balled, and well, the list could probably continue for quite some time.
Now ... just where is your brain at, after reading that paragraph?
I so love the SCA. Went to an SCA event yesterday and today. Met friends and got lots of hugs. Hug quotient is way up there right now. Makes me smile.
Got a backrub from a good friend. Watched the fighting and arching for a bit. It was way humid and hot Saturday, so I didn't participate. I was even incognito, wearing pants and a cotton shirt. I guess i was dressed as the assassin of Ardchreag instead of the exchequer. Oops, I probably shouldn't have let that slip. And I'm expecting my picture will be on the web again. Cause after all, enough pics of me were taken by all kinds of friends.
There were people here from 5 hours north of the city - Skallagrim the Frenzied, Wilhem, Jhone, Seth, and a couple others I hadn't met yet. Long weekends are good that way. I got to hassle Eirik which is always fun. Dwynwen is working on another dress for me, so I'll be ready with something new to wear in the fall. Whee! I got to see all kinds of people. Ooh. Megan and Andrew and Mordecai the big black scary dog were there. I haven't seen Megan and Andrew in years. That was way cool. And even a couple friends from out of the country. ;)
The Archangel of Distraction Mav my friend was there. (Yes, for you RP types, we do call her Mav in real life. To the best of my knowledge she's never rped online in her life.) Oh, and my other title is archangel of doom ... believe it or not. I think I should be renamed to Archangel of Chaos, but I'm not entirely sure I'm chaotic enough. (Comments welcome on this one. ;))
Yes, I had fun. We got a thunderstorm which provided much excitement and electricity. Though nobody's tent actually went flying this time. There was juggling with bean bags and balls. Devil sticks came out to play. Eirik picked me up, literally, and gave me a great big hug. I even returned him a hug from Kinga, which is always a good thing. (By the way, Kinga, Eirik says hi.)
We came home to sleep, cause my tent is one of the ones that leaked. Darn it all. Must fix that. And besides, my grass allergy was acting up. Today we went back for a while. Did a bit of crochet, and played around, but the wind was super cool. from 30+C to 16C in under 24 hours. feels horribly cold, even though it isn't.
So here I am home again, and not really wanting to go back. the darn pressure system changed and it's killing my head. Which makes me a very groggy Dara. Sigh.
But you know, I'm about >< that far from being hyper...
